A National Award Winning Housing Developer is looking to expand their team in the West Midlands.
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager for a new build housing development in Nuneaton. The successful candidate will be offered a personalised training and development programme from day one and the opportunity to fast track to Site Manager within 12-18 months.
Job Duties:
Assist the Site Manager in overseeing the construction site and ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and health and safety regulations
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and tradespeople on site
Monitor progress and quality of workmanship to ensure project milestones are met
Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, site inductions, and health and safety records
Manage site logistics and ensure materials are ordered and delivered on time
Required Qualifications:
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
First Aid certification
Valid Driving Licence
Scaffold qualification
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in the construction industry
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet project deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager
Additional health and safety certifications
Working Conditions:
The role involves working on a construction site, which may involve exposure to various weather conditions and physical demands. Regular travel between sites within the West Midlands region is required.
