Daily House Manager – Informal Family – Swiss Cottage, London - £60-£75K DOE
We are seeking a proactive, hands-on House Manager to take full responsibility for the smooth daily running of a large family home in Swiss Cottage, London. This is a live-out, Monday–Friday position with regular working hours, supporting a busy, informal household with two working adults and two teenagers.
You will be the key person responsible for managing all aspects of this large property, including:
1. Setting up and implementing efficient household systems from scratch
2. Overseeing renovations, builders, and maintenance contractors
3. Supervising and supporting one full-time housekeeper
4. Running household errands and handling day-to-day issues as they arise
5. Organising cupboards, wardrobes, and ensuring all areas are well maintained
6. Managing inventories, supplies, and keeping the household running smoothly
7. Overseeing all Ocado shopping
This role would suit someone from a head housekeeping/housekeeper or hands-on house management background, who enjoys being fully involved in the day-to-day care and organisation of a private home. You’ll need to be practical, resourceful, and happy to “muck in” wherever needed.
Ideally suit:
8. Extremely organised and detail-oriented House Manager
9. Proactive and able to take initiative without being micromanaged
10. Comfortable dealing with tradespeople, deliveries, and everyday household needs
11. Discreet, professional, and respectful of privacy
12. A clear communicator, fluent in English
13. Tech-savvy enough to manage basic home tech systems or online ordering
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
All House Managers or Head Housekeepers applying must have excellent spoken and written English, able to deal with email correspondence.
