We are looking to recruit for the position of Gastroenterology Training Programme Director.
All applicants must already work within Gastroenterology in a Thames Valley Trust.
This role is for 2 hours per week and offers a salary of £5,000 per annum.
Main duties of the job
The Training Programme Director will work with and support the Head of School in leading various functions aligned with the NHS England mandate. The role focuses on improving learner supervision, assessment, and experience, engaging faculty, and ensuring effective educational outcomes. It will also involve whole workforce transformation and developing multi-professional links.

Additional information
This role is expected to continue until at least 31/10/2026, with potential extensions. Successful candidates will undergo an Inter Authority Transfer (IAT) process via the Electronic Staff Record system (ESR).

* Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Experience and Knowledge
* Experience working with learners or doctors in training
* Experience in clinical and educational leadership, managing multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications and Training
* Primary clinical healthcare qualification
* Membership/Fellowship of a relevant College, Faculty, or professional body
* Currently working as a Consultant in the relevant specialty
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
