We’re looking for an enthusiastic and organised Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Minster HULL!
This role is working with Minster as part of the STARK. We are a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe and Minster specialise in insulation and dry lining materials. We connect suppliers of heavy building materials with the professional craftspeople who build, renovate, and maintain the cities of tomorrow.

Is this role right for me?
As a Warehouse Assistant, this role has a strong focus on stock management, as well as customer service, so this role is great for someone who loves to build relationships with their team and customers and enjoys an active and varied role.
The Person We’re Looking For Will Have
* A flexible approach to work - happy with manual handling
* A great team player; ready to support colleagues and customers when needed
* A confident communicator, both over the phone and face to face
* Previous forklift experience, although training will be provided
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 7am-5pm
Location: Minster, 12 - 16 Courtney Street, Mount Pleasant, Hull, HU8 7QF
So, what will I be doing?
Our Warehouse Assistants are very important to the smooth running of the business. Their role is important to help ensure products are where they need to be on time, in perfect condition and always working with the customers’ needs at the forefront.
To support our customers to succeed you will;
* Assist in the loading and unloading of vehicles – using a forklift where needed
* Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts
* Pick items to fulfil customer orders
* Check incoming stock deliveries and put away in appropriate area
* Getting to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions
* Develop great relationships with new and existing customers (both face to face and over the phone)
* Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers
* Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work
Required Skills And Experience
* Manual handling experience with MHE would be beneficial, however we do provide in-house forklift training
* Experience in a customer facing role
* Comfortable working in a predominantly outdoor environment
* Flexible with a positive can-do attitude
