Master Technician required in Southampton, Hampshire Basic Salary: £38,000 basic – OTE £45,000 Mon - Fri 08:00 - 17:00, 1 in 2 Saturday mornings 08:30 - 12:30 Franchised Dealership, Large Group Our client, a Franchised Main Car Dealer is currently looking to hire a Master Technician to join their team in a busy automotive environment in the Southampton Area. Our client has a strong reputation within the automotive trade, with over 420 staff employed across Hampshire, West Sussex & Surrey. Due to an internal promotion and expansion, they are seeking an experience Senior Vehicle Technician to lead the team and be a guide to junior and apprentice technicians within the workshop. Duties of a Master Technician with our Client Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems Use advanced diagnostic equipment to accurately identify and resolve complex issues Provide guidance and training to junior technicians to develop their skills and knowledge Perform quality control checks to ensure all work meets safety and quality standards Maintain a clean and organized work environment Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in automotive repair and maintenance Collaborate with service advisors and management to provide exceptional customer service Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner What our client expects of their Master Technicians: Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ accreditation & completion of technical school or training program preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience as a technician, with advanced knowledge of vehicles and their systems IMI certification or equivalent required; Master Technician certification preferred Proficiency in the use of diagnostic equipment and tools Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively Willingness to continuously learn and improve skills Full valid UK driving licence If this Master Technician Vacancy interests you and you would like to know more about it or other Automotive Dealership Jobs in Southampton please contact Martin Bane at Perfect Placement.
