Service Care Solutions is working with a growing Local Authority, based in Norfolk, which is seeking an experienced SEND Lawyer to join their legal team on a locum basis. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate with strong experience across all aspects of SEND law who can confidently manage tribunal work. Role: SEND Lawyer Location: Norfolk - Local Authority Contract Length: 3 month rolling contract Umbrella Rate: £49.82ph PAYE Inc. Rate: £43.91ph Key Responsibilities Handling a full caseload of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Managing and conducting SEND Tribunal cases, including preparation and advocacy where appropriate. Providing legal advice to the council’s education and SEND services. Working closely with internal stakeholders to manage tribunal strategy and case progression. Candidate Requirements Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX with significant SEND law experience, ideally within a local authority legal team. Proven experience running SEND Tribunals independently. Strong knowledge across all aspects of SEND work, particularly Section I matters. Benefits: Hybrid working – ideally at least every Friday and this is mandated for the last Friday of each month. Weekly pay – the rate offered will depend on experience and interview performance.
