Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)

Are you someone with patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children with additional needs reach their full potential? GSL Education are looking for a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join schools in Ringwood.
As a Special Educational Needs TA, you will provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of additional learning needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, ADHD, and emotional or behavioural challenges. You will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to create a positive and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.
Responsibilities:
* Provide classroom and individual support to students with special educational needs.
* Assist in the implementation of personalised education and behaviour plans.
* Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
* Support teachers in planning and delivering inclusive lessons.
* Promote a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment.
* Record and report progress to teachers and SENCOs as needed.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally within a school environment.
* Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance are desirable.
* Understanding of a range of learning difficulties, including autism and ADHD.
* A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting young learners.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

* Have the right to work in the UK.
* Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
* Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
