Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Providing appropriate physical, emotional or intellectual support to people using services that will enable them to fulfil their aspirations as determined through the individual care and support planning process. This includes planned and unplanned care, responding to attendant call systems, and ensuring dignity and privacy at all times.
2. Supporting individuals to live as independently as possible by promoting their dignity and privacy.
3. Attending to personal care needs as outlined in individual care plans, including washing, dressing, grooming, and continence care, along with manual handling procedures.
4. Addressing healthcare needs as specified in each individual's care plan.
5. Assisting people to access community opportunities and participate actively.
6. Contributing to care and support assessments, planning, and ongoing monitoring by maintaining accurate records.
Requirements:
* Attainment of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
* Experience supporting vulnerable adults.
* Ability to maintain accurate written records.
* Effective communication skills with service users.
* Promoting independence through best working practices.
* Understanding and commitment to anti-discriminatory practice.
* Flexibility to work with diverse service users and respond promptly to service needs.
* Ability to travel as required to meet service demands.
* Enhanced DBS check, dated within the last 12 months. Being on the update service may expedite the recruitment process.
* Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS if not already held.
