Caridon Property has doubled its turnover and portfolio size in the last four years. Due to this rapid growth, the finance team is expanding to improve the company's reporting capabilities to support future growth.
This is a great opportunity for a qualified individual with some bookkeeping and accounts maintenance experience to take responsibility for the full reporting function and develop the role over time towards becoming a Finance Manager or Financial Controller. We are committed to helping the successful candidate develop their skills and experience.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Financial Managers and other team members to execute various accounting tasks, including bookkeeping and postings.
* Maintain company ledgers and manage daily financial transactions.
* Create financial documents such as bills, invoices, payables, receivables, and purchase orders.
* Identify discrepancies in ledgers and accounts, track them to their source, and correct them.
* Coordinate and manage payment and billing details of external service providers, contractors, and vendors.
* Verify payments and deposits made through the company account.
* Perform monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts.
* Handle month-end journals, including payroll, accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
Qualifications
* BSc in Accounting and Finance or AAT qualification required.
* Minimum three years of experience as an Accounts Assistant.
* Experience in accounting for social housing and property management is essential.
* Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads under pressure.
* Willingness to learn and develop.
