Residential Senior Support Worker (Team Leader) Salary: £14 per hour Location: Benfleet, Essex Job Type: Full-time - 36 hours per week We are seeking a dedicated Residential Senior Support Worker (Team Leader) to lead a team of support workers in providing exceptional care and support to children in our residential home. This role is crucial in helping children address their problems, achieve well-being, and reach their full potential. The successful candidate will support the Manager and Deputy Manager in organising and leading day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Children’s Homes Quality Standards. Day-to-day of the role: Lead and organise shifts, ensuring all children's needs are met as outlined in their placement plans. Support children in their health, education, and personal development. Manage activities, coordinate safeguarding concerns, and ensure the smooth running of the shift. Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment within the home. Act as a key point of contact for children with external agencies such as social workers and educational staff. Oversee the completion of high-standard home records and reports for care managers. Participate in the on-call rota and undertake required training and professional development. Required Skills & Qualifications: Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards it. Minimum of one year's experience in a similar role, preferably within residential support for troubled children. Strong understanding of the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Children’s Homes Quality Standards, and relevant child protection and safeguarding procedures. Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a challenging environment. Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
