High Risk Podiatrist – Grade Band 6 (Permanent)
Contract: Permanent – Main area High Risk Podiatrist. Salary: £39,959 - £48,117 per annum.
Job Overview
The postholder will be part of a highly motivated Podiatry team working autonomously but with support from a senior Podiatrist. In a community setting, providing a high standard of quality clinical care. Working with patients at high risk of foot ulcers or with currently active foot ulcerations to support them with management of their foot pathologies. The clinician will have had clinical experience for at least one year and completed a programme of competences.
The postholder will assess, diagnose, develop and implement individualised care programmes for patients with a wide variety of clinical needs. The postholder will also be expected to plan and manage their own caseload.
Main Duties of the Job
* Assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of podiatric care to a variety of patients including those with Diabetes, Vascular Disease, Rheumatological disease, Wound management, Neurological disorders, and Nail Surgery.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
* 12 months experience as a podiatrist
* Degree/Diploma in Podiatric Medicine
* Local Analgesia Administration Certificate
* Wound care experience
Desirable Criteria
* Independent prescribing or working towards independent prescribing
* Completed a preceptorship at band 5

* Professional UK clinical registration is required. Provide will pay for registration during the first year of employment.
