CNC Miller Programmer – Leicester – £36,000 – £40,000
The ability to work on your own initiative, good communication skills and attention to detail are a must. 37.5 hours a week over 4/5 days (flexible).
The Role
Due to continued growth and expansion, we have an immediate opportunity for a skilled and experienced CNC Miller to join our team. The successful candidates will work primarily with Oil & Gas and Motorsports components, joining a long-standing team.
Responsibilities
* Programme, set & operate CNC Mills with Fanuc controls
* Generating new programs as per drawing requirements
* Setting tools 2/3 times a day
* Producing components from 5mm to 300mm diameter
* Working with wide range of materials
* Prototype work and small batch
* Working on highly technical products to tight tolerances and strict quality standards
The Person
The successful candidate will be a qualified, fully-skilled engineer with a minimum of three years CNC Milling experience. They will be able to carry out 1st Inspections of their own work.
To be considered for this role you must have:
* Three years CNC programming/setting and operating experience
* Working knowledge of Fanuc programming essential
* Experience of producing conforming first-offs to drawing and quality specifications
* Experience with modern quality control standards and measurement of parts
* Experience of working to tight tolerances
* CADCAM offline experience – Edgecam
