We are currently recruiting for a well-established Financial Planning practice based in Redhill, seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and ambitious individual within an established, sophisticated financial planning and investment management company.
Role Responsibilities
The main focus of this role is to oversee the paraplanning function while actively producing financial planning reports and research for advisers. Additionally, the role involves mentoring a current team member while working towards Diploma qualification.
Preparing and maintaining the client file
* Check that all relevant paperwork for the client recommendation file is present
* Confirm that the client risk profile is determined
* Discuss client objectives with the Adviser
* Identify and obtain necessary information to compile financial cashflow forecasts
Preparing recommendations
* Identify areas for planning
* Undertake research independently and with the Financial Planner to find suitable solutions for clients' needs
* Prepare information and comparisons for analysis
* Consider current and future asset allocation strategies in line with the client risk profile
* Prepare draft recommendation reports for discussion and approval
Implementing recommendations
* Prepare suitability letters in accordance with the approved recommendations
* Ensure all compliance paperwork is complete
Review
* Act as the main point of contact, effectively handling queries from clients and other parties through clear communication
Management and project delivery
* Manage and train Trainee Paraplanner and report writing team
* Participate in developing and refining the paraplanning process
* Assist in marketing and promoting the paraplanning service to internal advisers
* Deliver services to advisers within agreed turnaround times
Knowledge and experience
* Understanding of the financial planning process
* Ability to work within defined business processes
* Self-motivated to achieve outcomes without supervision
* Ability to prioritize and plan workload effectively
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
