The pharmacy cancer team provides a We are keen to develop a pharmacist prescriber role within our oncology outpatient clinics. Therefore, a non-medical prescriber qualification would be desirable. To be eligible for this role, you will be an excellent communicator and have strong clinical and leadership experience within oncology and haemato-oncology. You will lead and operationally manage a team of pharmacists, technicians and support staff offering a clinical service across the haematology/oncology ward and day unit and liaising with the clinical trials and aseptics teams. With post-registration experience of hospital pharmacy practice, you will hold a Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent post-graduate qualification. There will be opportunities to undertake a non-medical prescribing qualification if not already held. Main duties of the job You will play a key role in the development and delivery of safe, high quality and cost-effective Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) and PN clinical services that deliver key pharmacy service and national benchmark standards for the care of patients on the site. Working collaboratively with the lead oncology, haematology and clinical staff, you will be leading the development of clinical pharmacy services for SACT and PN on the site and through homecare. You will make a significant contribution to the delivery of corporate, divisional and departmental operational and strategic priorities and to the modernisation of pharmacy services across the Trust. As a team leader, you will actively report site service delivery into the departmental senior management meetings and deputise for the Principal Pharmacist SACT, PN and Manufacturing at departmental, Divisional and Trust meetings as required.
