Teaching Assistant (SEN Experience) – Bracknell
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant with Special Educational Needs (SEN) experience to support pupils in schools across Bracknell.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference to children with additional needs and who can provide consistent, patient and tailored support within the classroom. You may be working on a one-to-one basis or supporting small groups, depending on the needs of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
* Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs
* Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
* Adapt resources and activities to meet individual learning needs
* Encourage pupil engagement, independence and positive behaviour
* Support pupils with personal care where required
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil progress reviews
* Follow safeguarding policies and promote pupil wellbeing
Requirements:
* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant
* Proven experience supporting pupils with SEN
* A calm, patient and nurturing approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
