Our client Tameside metropolitan borough council is looking for a Children's Team Manager to join their Children with Disabilities team.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing and supervising social workers and support staff.
* Overseeing assessments of children with disabilities and their needs.
* Ensuring care plans, safeguarding measures, and statutory responsibilities are carried out effectively.
* Supporting children who may require specialist services, short breaks, direct payments, or social care interventions.
* Working with schools, healthcare professionals, therapists, and other agencies.
* Monitoring team performance, caseloads, and service quality.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and safeguarding procedures.
* Managing budgets and resources where applicable.
* Providing leadership, guidance, and professional development for team members.
