Crime and Intelligence Analyst
This is an exciting opportunity to join Mitie Intelligence Services (MIS) as part of the Intelligence Hub, in a new role within a new rapidly evolving and growing team. The Intelligence & Crime Analyst will play a pivotal role in developing, owning, and delivering a dedicated and bespoke intelligence service for a strategic London-based client, operating within a multi‑disciplinary taskforce.
The Intelligence Hub provides open‑source intelligence (OSINT) capabilities to Mitie and its clients, focusing on the identification and assessment of potential threats to client employees and business operations. The team delivers timely, actionable intelligence to inform and facilitate client decision‑making, enabling effective risk mitigation and enhancing organisational resilience. Analysts are responsible for producing structured, evidence‑based case files and intelligence products that meet strict legal and evidential standards, supporting enforcement and legal outcomes. This includes ensuring that all intelligence is accurate, reliable, and suitable for use in legal proceedings, with robust chains of custody and compliance with data protection and privacy requirements.
Job Objectives and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have previous OSINT industry experience, ideally gained in law enforcement, military, government, or the private sector. You will be a confident and assertive decision‑maker, able to operate in a dynamic, agile environment with excellent judgement and written communication skills. Hands‑on and driven, you will inspire others with your commitment to high standards of intelligence reporting, supporting client security decisions and contributing to improved business outcomes. The analyst will work within the Intelligence Hub, reporting directly to the Intelligence & Risk Manager, and collaborating with other analysts and operational teams. Escalation of critical intelligence will follow established MIS protocols.

Scope of the Role
Provide the highest standards of intelligence collation, evaluation, and analysis to influence key decision makers and foster key partnerships with law enforcement and other authorities when deemed necessary a proportionate to do so.
The Role
* Provide a dedicated and bespoke crime and intelligence service to an established London‑based customer.
* Own and develop bespoke intelligence products to support the customer and make appropriate recommendations for the deployment of security resources based on intelligence analysis.
* Develop and maintain professional relationships with the customer and gain an in‑depth understanding of their operational requirements and promote effective intelligence‑based risk mitigation strategies.
* Work with the Intelligence Hub analyst team to support the identification, development, monitoring and exploitation of open‑source intelligence (OSINT) sources to produce actionable intelligence packs.
* Identify groups or individuals that propose a threat to client assets, and provide end to end case management with potential to contribute toward criminal convictions and custodial sentences.
* Present intelligence and structured reporting to the client leadership and, if necessary, wider authorities.
* Complete ad‑hoc projects as designated by management or client on time and to a high standard of quality.
* Develop and maintain professional relationships and partnerships with internal and external intelligence teams, departments and agencies to facilitate greater inter‑departmental and inter‑agency collaboration to disrupt and deter threats to the customers' operations.
* Form and develop relationships with Police, law enforcement agencies and other partners to identify and advance the potential of prosecution and other enforcement action, including supporting the collation and capture of evidence to enable effective case building.
* Ensure compliance with GDPR and Company and Client quality standards.
Key Skills and Experience
* Strong analytical ability – proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Power BI, and intelligence databases.
* Experience in writing strategic and tactical reports to an evidential standard.
* Strong understanding of threats, vulnerabilities and risks that have ability to impact an organisation.
* An excellent communicator with experience in delivering oral and written presentations to senior leadership.
* Customer service focused, with the ability to build and maintain relationships and work effectively in a team.
* Experience of working within a demanding, fast‑paced, and controlled environment.
* Effective communication and customer service skills.
* Reliable, flexible, discreet and able to deal with pressure professionally.
* Solid organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and achieve deadlines.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience creating reports and communicating findings to an evidential standard.
* Relevant experience, in the crime, security and intelligence sector.
* Experience with operating with the intelligence cycle and familiar with the UK National Intelligence Models.
* Bachelor's degree in criminology, intelligence, security studies, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
* Excellent open‑source intelligence research ability.
* Security cleared or prepared to undertake additional vetting.
* This role is primarily office‑based, with flexibility for remote work as agreed with management.
