ROLE: Merchandise Systems Analyst
REPORTING TO: Branch Merch Manager
About the Role
You will be working closely with the EU teams to drive change and implement new reporting solutions for the EU business.
You will be creating and managing reporting that support improved decision making for the merchant teams - not only creating new solutions, but also anticipating and identifying issues that may prevent deliverables and develop and implement corrective actions.
This role needs to work with multiple teams to identify development needs and create reporting that will help to improve and streamline operations and turn data into actionable insights.
What you’ll be doing:
* Challenging current reports and processes, engaging stakeholders across multiple functions in both EU head office, EU fulfilment centres, and EU tech and BI teams.
* Working with dashboards and creating reports as well as being responsible for data modelling, data validation and regular provision of key reports as required.
* Working within our allocation tool ‘MID’ to support best practice review and development of current processes training and identifying areas of improvement.
* Solving business problems by gathering requirements from key stakeholders, designing solutions, testing, and final deployment following change management process.
* Responsible for data verification with key stakeholders, and training support for users.
* Hosting workshops to provide training and knowledge transfer to business users once a new report or solution has been completed, noting evolution is key and ability to be flexible with multiple team requirements with successful adoption rates.
* Report subscription management across Qlik and EDW (microstrategy)
* Problem solving with the wider teams and engaging them with potential new solutions/fixes.
* Updating existing excel based reports and working with the teams to identify opportunities to improve and data – considering simplicity and ease of end use at all times.
* Assess projects and identify essential tasks; reprioritizes tasks dynamically during each project; performs risk assessments; identifies and evaluates alternatives.
* Longer term support with set up of new in house Merch Planning / Allocation tool.
Technical experience and skills:
* Relevant industry experience in data analytics and analysis.
* Solid, demonstrable experience in data warehouse technologies and data modelling.
* Experience in the following technologies is beneficial but not essential
* High level proficiency in error resolution, error handling & very high attention to detail
