An established facilities management provider is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a busy contract covering healthcare and education buildings across West Scotland. This is a mobile role working across multiple sites carrying out electrical maintenance, planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
This opportunity offers an immediate start with strong long-term potential and the possibility of moving into a permanent role for the right candidate.
The role
The successful Maintenance Electrician will carry out electrical PPM and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of healthcare and school buildings. You will be responsible for maintaining electrical systems, fault finding and ensuring compliance across multiple sites.
Key responsibilities
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems
• Reactive electrical maintenance and fault finding
• Maintenance and repair of lighting, power and distribution systems
• Electrical testing, inspection and minor installation works
• Working across healthcare and education facilities within a facilities management contract
• Ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations
• Supporting wider building services maintenance when required
Location
• Mobile role covering West Scotland
• Work across sites in the Glasgow and surrounding areas including Paisley, Clydebank, Dumbarton and Greenock
Rate / salary
• £20 – £22 per hour depending on experience
• Strong potential for the role to become permanent
• Permanent salary expected around £40,000
Requirements
• Qualified electrician with relevant electrical qualifications
• Experience as a Maintenance Electrician within facilities management, building services or commercial maintenance
• Experience carrying out electrical PPM and reactive maintenance
• Strong fault finding and electrical maintenance experience
• 18th Edition preferred
• Full UK driving licence preferred due to mobile role
