We’re on the lookout for a knowledgeable and forward‑thinking Senior Building Control Officer to play a key role in delivering expert guidance across a broad range of domestic, commercial, and mixed‑use developments.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting the Building Control Manager in delivering the building control service.
* Assessing building regulation applications and carrying out site inspections.
* Contributing to safe, sustainable, and compliant developments across Erewash, Broxtowe, Mansfield, Ashfield and Gedling.
* Supporting demolition licensing and the dangerous structures response service.
* Mentoring Assistant Building Control Officers and supporting professional development.
* Participating in out-of-hours emergency standby on a rota basis.
* Degree in Building Surveying (or equivalent relevant experience).
* Corporate membership or working towards corporate membership of CABE, CIOB, or RICS.
* Willingness (or ability) to achieve LABC Level 6 Competency through assessment leading to a level 3 validation with the Building Safety Regulator.
* A collaborative mindset and commitment to maintaining high service standards; Disability Confident.
