Those Huge Small Victories

Our teachers are fulfilled by the idea of making even the smallest positive changes in our young people, so we celebrate the little things. There are many ups and downs, and to some of our young people, sitting through a lesson can be a big win. We call these huge small victories, and while they may seem small on the surface, they add up to make a big difference.

Get out what you put in

You will work with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Your role is to help them learn, develop their abilities, and raise their self-esteem. You need to be resilient and dedicated, but the huge small victories you achieve will be something to be proud of.

It can be a tough journey, but the positive steps forward will more than make up for it. As a Teacher at Witherslack Group, you'll receive all the support needed to succeed, including in-house psychologists, teaching assistants, and therapy professionals. Your colleagues will be highly skilled, the school environments well-resourced, and we will support you every step of the way to build a rewarding teaching career.

One of the best environments in SEND

Millcourt School is an independent specialist day school located in Shelf, Yorkshire. It provides high-quality education for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, among other conditions.

The refurbished historic mill building offers a thriving and engaging educational environment. Pupils, many with backgrounds of multiple school placements, are now part of a school that truly understands them and is committed to helping them achieve and succeed.
