The Role
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a field-based commercial role responsible for driving revenue growth across the South East by developing and expanding a network of independent dealer partners and accelerating end-user adoption.
You will build dealer capability, create demand with professional users (including golf, sports turf, contractors, and municipalities), and ensure Kress is represented to a consistently high standard in your territory.

Key Responsibilities
Dealer Growth & Partner Management
•Develop, onboard, and grow a portfolio of independent dealers across the South East
•Build joint business plans with partners covering sales targets, product focus, training, demos, stock and activation
•Monitor dealer performance and profitability, identifying actions to increase sell-through and repeat business
•Strengthen relationships with owners, sales teams, and service departments to improve customer experience and retention
Sales & Business Development
•Build and execute an annual territory plan to achieve sales, margin, and growth targets
•Identify and secure new opportunities through targeted prospecting and structured account development
•Drive commercial adoption with key professional segments including golf courses, sports clubs/venues, contractors, estates, and municipalities
•Lead value-based proposals and negotiations to protect profitability while building long-term partnerships
Demand Creation, Training & Demonstration
•Deliver product training to dealer teams and end-user stakeholders
•Plan and run demonstrations, trials, and conversion activity to accelerate adoption
•Support product launches and local marketing initiatives in collaboration with internal teams
•Represent Kress at trade events, dealer open days, and key customer meetings
Market & Competitor Intelligence
•Track competitor activity, pricing dynamics, and market trends within the territory
•Feed insights into internal teams to improve strategy, activity planning, and product positioning
•Identify local growth opportunities linked to electrification and robotic automation trends
CRM, Forecasting & Reporting
•Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting using CRM tools
•Track activity, opportunities, and outcomes against targets
•Provide clear reporting on dealer performance, trials, conversions, and next-step actions

What We’re Looking For
Experience
•Proven track record in field sales or business development
•Strong experience within dealer/channel sales and/or professional equipment markets (OPE, landscaping, turf, hire/rental, construction or similar)
Skills & Attributes
•Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management (dealer principals to end users)
•Confident negotiator with strong commercial awareness (margin, terms, ROI)
•Highly organised with strong territory planning and follow-through
•Comfortable with technical products and able to translate features into customer value
•Proactive, self-sufficient, and results-driven in a field-based environment
