Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join our client’s busy and growing operation based in Doncaster (DN4). This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver looking for stable, long-term work with a well-established company in the scrap metal and recycling sector.
This role offers regular daytime hours, no nights out, and local routes within South Yorkshire, making it ideal for drivers who value consistency and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate a Class 1 (C+E) skip lorry with 6–8 wheel base and trailer.
* Carry out local collections and deliveries of scrap metal and related materials.
* Ensure all loads are safely secured and comply with transport regulations.
* Complete necessary paperwork and vehicle checks in line with company and DVSA standards.
* Communicate effectively with the transport team and site staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when representing the company on customer sites.
Hours and Pay:
* Start time between 05:30 and 06:30, Monday to Friday.
* Average shifts between 10–12 hours per day.
* £14.50 per hour for the first 9 hours.
* £21.50 per hour for all hours worked after 9 hours.
* Weekly pay every Friday.
* Overtime available depending on workload.

Requirements:
* Full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence.
* Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
* Previous experience driving skip lorries and/or trailers preferred.
* Good knowledge of local routes around South Yorkshire.
* A responsible, safety-conscious attitude with attention to detail.
* Reliability, punctuality, and strong communication skills.
