We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to become a vital part of a veterinary practice in Lurgan.
The practice boasts a well-equipped, purpose-built, and recently refurbished facility, designed to accommodate up to five vets. The Role: As the Lead Veterinary Surgeon, you will oversee the veterinary team and ensure delivery of exceptional medical care. Your leadership, clinical expertise, and dedication to animal welfare, supported by our regional teams, will contribute to the practice’s growth, your development, and team success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership and foster a positive, collaborative environment.
* Ensure quality and ethical care for patients and clients.
* Perform examinations, diagnose conditions, and create treatment plans.
* Perform surgical procedures and prescribe medications.
* Guide pet owners and discuss treatment options.
* Maintain compliance with veterinary ethics and standards.
* Keep accurate medical records.
* Assist in recruiting and training staff.
* Manage practice performance, budget, and profitability with regional support.
* Participate in the Lead Vet Contribution Scheme, earning an additional 20% quarterly.
* Relocation package up to £2,000 (£5000 for overseas candidates).
* £1,500 annual CPD allowance plus 3 paid CPD days.
* 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays.
