Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £34,247 per annum

The Opportunity
A leading housing association is recruiting a Property Inspector to join its Repairs Team within the Property Maintenance and Construction function, based in Ashington.
This is a key technical role responsible for delivering an effective inspection and reporting service across domestic, non-domestic and commercial properties. You'll investigate property defects, damp and disrepair issues, carry out condition surveys, and provide clear recommendations to support responsive, planned and cyclical maintenance programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect properties and diagnose building defects
Investigate damp, condensation and remedial repair issues
Complete condition surveys and technical reports
Recommend appropriate repair solutions and specifications
Support responsive, planned and cyclical maintenance delivery
Liaise professionally with residents, contractors and internal teams
About You
You'll be an experienced property professional with a flexible, proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills. You'll be comfortable working in a target-driven social housing environment and delivering clear outcomes for customers.
You will also:
Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills
Engage positively with stakeholders and residents
Contribute to service improvements and process efficiencies
Represent the organisation professionally within the community
Essential Requirements
Full trade or professional qualification in a construction-related discipline
Relevant health & safety qualification or experience
Asbestos awareness
Experience delivering property maintenance services within social housing
Full UK driving licence (essential)
