Overview
Real Estate Cost Manager to join the global workplace team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the financial oversight of real estate and workplace projects, ensuring cost efficiency, value for money, and commercial accountability from inception through to completion. As a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and external partners, you’ll be instrumental in supporting project planning, budgeting, procurement, and cost control across a variety of workplace and property initiatives.

Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee project cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting across multiple real estate and workplace projects.
* Provide cost consultancy and strategic commercial advice to support real estate decision-making and project delivery.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates, cash flows, and financial reports throughout the project lifecycle.
* Lead procurement strategy, tender evaluations, contract negotiations, and value engineering processes.
* Monitor contractor performance, manage change control, and support the resolution of commercial issues.
* Collaborate closely with project managers, design teams, suppliers, and internal finance and procurement teams.
* Ensure compliance with internal governance and external regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor or similar role in real estate, construction, or workplace projects.
* Strong understanding of commercial real estate project lifecycles and cost control methodologies.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders and present complex information clearly.
* Proficient in cost management tools and reporting software (e.g. Excel, CostX, MS Project).
* Familiarity with JCT, NEC, or other standard construction contract forms.
Education & Experience
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Real Estate or a related discipline.
* MRICS or working towards chartered status (preferred but not essential).
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within real estate, construction, or consultancy environments.
