Our Dudley, West Midlands site is a ready‑to‑cook plant that adds spices and seasonings, with a production capacity that rises during the summer.
About the Role
Section Manager – Production Team, Dudley site. The role is factory based in a fast‑paced, dynamic FMCG environment. You will work Monday to Friday, 14:30 to 23:30.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop Team Leaders and colleagues within assigned zones.
* Lead the section on all food safety, health & safety and quality standards adherence.
* Lead customer visits and audits, ensuring effective planning, coordination and delivery.
* Implement continuous improvement initiatives across a range of areas, as directed by the Production Manager.
* Conduct line‑side SICs to filter information to the Production Manager for shift SICs.
* Utilise allocated resources within your section and raise shortfalls in resource, supply chain or asset reliability when required.
* Implement processes and procedures to capture data for senior‑management analysis.
* Apply company policies and procedures consistently.
* Develop and review SOPs for designated areas.
* Deputise for the Area Production Manager as requested.
Required Experience & Skills
* Experienced Section Manager or Team Leader with similar production or manufacturing background.
* Proven continuous improvement experience in a production environment.
* Ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
* Strong people‑management skills in a diverse, demanding environment.
* Excellent communication at all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
* Excellent time‑management and analytical skills.
* Experience coaching, developing and mentoring a team to reach their capabilities.
