The Partnerships Team sits within the Directorate for Communications, Marketing and Recruitment (CMR) and holds responsibility for the central coordination of the University’s domestic and international partnerships. This includes managing a range of Transnational Education (TNE) and articulation partnerships, which form a crucial strand of the University’s 2030 Strategic Plan, and the associated Global Engagement Strategy.
The post holder will work with the Head of Partnerships and other key internal stakeholders, to manage both domestic and international partnerships across the University. This will involve maintaining an up-to‑date database of all current partnerships, ensuring the effective administrative oversight of partnership activity, overseeing business development opportunities and the development of new partnerships, providing a professional service to colleagues both within the Directorate and the wider University, and building relationships with key external stakeholders as appropriate. The post‑holder will also line manage the Partnership Administration team.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated with sound interpersonal, communication and team working skills, experience within an international HE context and the ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
Description of Duties
* Work with the Head of Partnerships to deliver a professional service across the institution to support the management and development of all University teaching partnerships, in line with the 2030 Strategic Plan
* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Faculties, Academic Registry, and other Professional Services
* Oversee the management of a central repository for University partnerships, including contract management, student numbers, business plans, ensuring it remains up to date and GDPR compliant
* Participate in regular discussions with partners, maintaining strong, mutually beneficial relationships with existing partnerships, and support the strategic development of new ones
* Work collaboratively with Faculties and other Professional Services to further develop the understanding of TNE and partnership dependencies, key date calendars, and life‑cycle management
* Work with colleagues to coordinate on‑site visits and delegations, with current and potential partners as appropriate
* Represent the Partnerships Team at regular meetings held at Faculties and Services concerning international and domestic partnerships, provide appropriate advice and guidance
* Co‑ordinate the production of an annual work and resource plan for TNE and other partnerships including the preparation of the necessary materials for Partnership Annual Monitoring Reporting (PASR) and other key events such as partner graduations
* Provide direct line manager support to the administrative team and provide appropriate management direction to relevant colleagues within the team on the day‑to‑day operations in collaboration with relevant Faculties and other Professional Services
* Demonstrate proactive drive and actively contribute to fostering a positive culture within the Directorate and the wider university
* Represent the University at external events and partner institutions, including the sector‑wide TNE forums, partnerships events and partner visits to campus
* Undertake other duties from time to time as required by the Head of Partnerships, including attending any international forums where we can actively engage with partners and students and periodic work such as contract drafting and proofing
* Support the Academic Quality and Governance team of the University, including taking part in the organisation, coordination and delivery of review, approval and validation events as needed
