Overview
As a Cost Manager, you will be part of a small but strong team dedicated to planning, controlling, and monitoring project costs across the UK. You will play a key role in ensuring financial efficiency, managing budgets, forecasting costs, and keeping projects aligned with financial objectives.
Responsibilities
* Establish and develop cost account systems (i.e. Material, Labor, Third Party Workers) for Projects and internal orders, including Billings, project maintenance in SAP (Project setup, Closure, Cost Centre Set up).
* Maintain annual standard calculations schemes for material, labor, and overhead, and provide cost calculation base for product / project pricing.
* Track and maintain Actual cost compared to planned cost on project and analyse variances.
* Prepare regular reports for internal stakeholders.
* Assist in internal and external audits.
* Ensure coherence with superior Controlling standards, policies and procedures, and adopt respective processes.
* Ensure planning, monitoring and reviews of projects' budgets, and provide comments on Actual vs. Plan reports.
* Monitor financial performance, provide KPI analysis, and prepare and comment on respective performance reporting and forecasts.
* Ensure proper revenue and cost controlling, and design and maintenance of underlying planned cost in account systems.
* Analyse, prepare, approve and review Cost Centre expenditures, and provide respective reporting.
* Oversee day-to-day controlling and financial analysis operations.
* Gather and consolidate budget data and monitor Actual vs. Plans comparisons.
* Prepare regular business reports, checks for accuracy and completeness.
* May carry out ad-hoc analyses and profitability calculations.
