Some of the duties you will have include:
* Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and requirements for steel installation.
* Assemble and install structural steel components, such as beams, columns, and braces, using appropriate tools and equipment.
* Align and position steel components accurately, ensuring proper fit and levelness.
* Bolt or weld steel components together securely, following industry standards and safety protocols.
* Collaborate with other team members, including crane operators and riggers, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
* Always adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, promoting a safe work environment.
* Inspect and assess steel components for defects or damage, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
* Maintain and organise tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
* Follow project schedules and deadlines, completing tasks in a timely manner.
Essential-
* Must hold a valid CSCS / ACE
* Trade qualification - Time served L2/L3 NVQ or equivalent.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable-
* Previous experience of working outages / shutdowns within the EFW and CCGT power industries is preferred.
* 3 years’ experience in a similar role & industry experience preferred.
