Job overview

Thepostiscommunitybasedwith most work being undertaken at Cromwell House. Main duties of the job

The post holder would be expected to see emergency assessments following a duty assessment (by care co-ordinator rota) and would also be expected to engage in Section 12 work for patients allocated to their teams. The CMHT has the acute assessment role of a crisis team as per the local Acute Care Pathway (ACP) which means that all referrals to secondary services are triaged in community teams and assessed before referral on. The post-holder would provide advice and support to other members of the team, primarily for their own case-load but also for new patient queries and general advice.

Qual

* MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
* Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment
* S12(2) approval/ Eligible to work towards s12(2) approval if not already held.
* Completed four years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis), at least two of which were in a specialty training programme in psychiatry or as a fixed term specialty trainee in psychiatry.
* Applicant’s knowledge is up to date and fit to practise safely
