The Role
We're looking for a Referrals Coordinator who will play a vital role in welcoming new clients into our service. You'll be the first face they see of Every Little Thing, carrying out initial needs assessments with warmth, empathy, and professionalism.
As well as meeting clients and families, you'll handle referrals from social workers and other professionals, making sure the right support is put in place from the very start. This role blends people skills with strong organisation and admin skills—perfect for someone who enjoys meeting others but also thrives on keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
What You'll Be Doing
· Being the welcoming first point of contact for new clients
· Carrying out thorough initial needs assessments, listening carefully and gathering essential information
· Identifying risks and completing detailed risk assessments to ensure client and staff safety
· Handling incoming referrals from local authorities, health professionals, and families
· Recording and managing accurate client information in our systems
· Working closely with the management team to match clients with the right support
· Building positive relationships with social workers, families, and colleagues
· Supporting with a wide range of admin tasks to make sure referrals are processed quickly and smoothly
What We're Looking For
· A warm, approachable person who puts clients at ease
· Excellent communication and listening skills
· Previous experience working in health or social care, mental health, or community support is essential
· Strong IT and admin skills – confident using databases, Microsoft Office, and digital communication tools
· Confidence and competence in carrying out needs assessments and risk assessments
· Highly organised and detail-focused, able to juggle multiple tasks at once
· Comfortable meeting new people, asking the right questions, and handling sensitive information with professionalism
· A team player with a genuine passion for supporting people and making a difference
