Role Description

The Commercial Assistant plays a key supporting role within the commercial team, responsible for implementing trading decisions and managing product data. Working closely with the Trading Manager and Buying Manager, this role helps maintain accurate product, pricing, and stock information to support trading performance and ensure operational readiness across the business.

The role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and effective coordination with internal teams including marketing, sales, customer service, and operations. This is a fast-paced, commercially driven environment where accuracy and responsiveness are essential to success.


Key Responsibilities

* Maintain accurate product and pricing data within relevant systems to reflect approved trading decisions.
* Responsible for creation of products within the ERP system.
* Support the Trading Manager in the delivery of trading plans across product categories and ad hoc analysis.
* Support the Buying Manager with administrative tasks.
* Assist in competitor and market research to support trading decisions.
* Provide responses to stock related queries from the Customer Care team.


Skills and Experience Required

* Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy when managing data and product information.
* Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
* Good written and verbal communication skills and confidence in working cross-functionally.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with ERP or product management systems is desirable.
* A proactive and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and develop in a commercial environment.
