We are excited to invite applications for a full-time SAS Doctor (Psychiatry) to join our Hounslow Central MINT team, funded through our local transformation program. In this role you will bring specialist psychiatric skills to a PCN-based, multidisciplinary community mental health service working alongside a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist in each Primary Care Network and forging close partnerships with GPs. Our Hounslow model adopts a whole-person, whole-population approach: integrating health and social care, collaborating with VCSE organisations and local community groups, and drawing on all available resources to support mental wellbeing both within and beyond traditional NHS services.
Overview
The successful SAS Doctor will join our Hounslow Central MINT integrated community mental health team. You will work alongside a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist and local GPs to deliver a fully integrated, stepped-care service.
Responsibilities
* Provide assessments, formulate management plans, and monitor progress with a primary-care ethos.
* Deliver enhanced, clinician-led interventions for more complex needs and collaborate with the wider MDT.
* Engage in consultation and liaison with GPs, primary care services, the Crisis Team, Early Intervention in Psychosis Service and other specialist mental health teams.
* Provide direct patient contact for complex case reviews and crisis prevention.
* Partner with voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations and local community groups to support a whole-person, whole-population approach to mental wellbeing.
Qualifications
* At least five years of experience in mental health services.
* Strong clinical skills with enthusiasm for leadership, mentorship, and continuous service improvement.
* Effective communication, commitment to community-based care, and ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a multi-professional team.
