The opportunity:
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Development Designer seeking to advance their career at a fast-growing manufacturer of Permanent POS, retail displays, window displays, and pop-up spaces, partnering with some of the world's leading brands.
What you'll do:
* Develop detailed 3D and 2D CAD models for complex POS displays and store fixtures such as cash desks, wall units, and mid-floor systems using software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
* Interpret creative briefs and convert conceptual designs into functional, production-ready solutions.
* Collaborate with account managers, creatives, suppliers, and production teams to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
* Create technical drawings, assembly guides, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for prototyping and manufacturing.
* Ensure designs meet structural, safety, and brand guidelines.
* Prototype and test design solutions, making necessary iterations.
* Source appropriate materials and production methods based on design and budget constraints.
* Extensive experience with joinery and metalwork, including core materials like plastic.
* Support onsite installations or builds when required.
* Liaise with suppliers to ensure accurate production outputs and timelines.
* Conduct site surveys as needed.
* Project management skills would be advantageous.
What you'll bring:
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field.
* Over 10 years of experience working with both temporary and permanent POS displays.
