We are looking for an experienced RICS Chartered Surveyor to join our Commercial Property and Asset Management team based within our head office in London. The post holder will be responsible for the management of a key client portfolio and contribute to the growth of the firm’s Commercial Property and Asset Management team in London, while also helping to strength Carter Jonas’ profile within this market. Main tasks:
1. Liaison with the Head of Commercial Client accounting to help deliver a first class client service
2. Collection of rents and other monies due, including chasing of arrears
3. Assisting with the preparation of service charge budgets and issue of certificates and additional invoices following service charge reconciliation.
4. Administration of property insurance including apportionment of premiums, raising and issue of invoices
5. Completing property inspections schedules,
6. Dealing with rent reviews and lease renewals.
7. Identifying and implementing asset management opportunities
8. Liaising with Clients, tenants and contractors.
9. Providing accurate, timely client reports
10. Organising repair and maintenance work, including liaising with tenants and contractors, arranging access and checking that works are completed
11. Using and assisting with the maintenance of records on the TRAMPS property management and accounting system

What will it take to be successful?
We are seeking a Chartered Surveyor with significant post qualification experience and good working knowledge of all relevant legislature including L&T Act 1954, L&T Cov. Act 1995. The post holder will have strong client management and communication skills and will have the ability to drive business initiatives forward in a confident and personable manner. The role involves frequent travel so a valid driving license is required.
