GSL Education are currently looking for enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join primary schools in Gainsborough. This role is ideal for someone who has a genuine passion for supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN) and wants to be part of a supportive and nurturing school community. Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant: Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCPs Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment for all pupils Support students with emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction Adapt classroom resources and learning materials to meet individual needs Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to staff and parents Help manage behaviour and promote engagement in learning Support with personal care or mobility where required Uphold all safeguarding and child protection policies consistently SEN TA Candidate Requirements: Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (in education or care) A relevant TA qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) is desirable A degree in Psychology, SEN or a similar field Strong understanding of a range of special educational needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff Resilience, patience, and a caring approach to learning support Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one Why Join GSL Education?
