Communications Assistant Location: Billingham | Full-time | Permanent Salary: Competitive My client is looking for a dynamic Communications Assistant to join their vibrant team and help shape how they connect, communicate, and celebrate across the organisation. About the Role Reporting directly to the Head of Communications, you’ll play a key role in planning and delivering engaging, high-impact internal communications and events. From crafting compelling content and managing digital channels to organising exciting on-site events, you’ll be central to how we engage with our people. This is a varied and hands-on role perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves turning great ideas into action. What You'll Be Doing * Supporting and executing communications plans in line with the Head of Communications’ vision * Creating and managing an exciting content calendar for internal channels, including intranet posts, social media, and digital posters * Designing and delivering a dynamic employee events programme that boosts morale and culture * Providing key administrative support for internal communications processes (e.g., quarterly briefings) * Updating and maintaining our corporate website with fresh, relevant content * Building strong relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers * Overseeing mailbox and invoice management for the communications function What We're Looking For * A degree in communications, marketing, events or equivalent experience in a similar role * A confident communicator with excellent writing skills and a keen eye for detail * A proactive team player with a positive, can-do attitude * Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once * Technically savvy, with experience across Microsoft platforms * A natural relationship-builder with the ability to inspire, influence and engage
