Are you looking for a role where every day makes a meaningful difference?
Do you want to be part of a warm, supportive team helping young people fulfil their potential?
Ingfield Manor School is seeking a Teaching Assistant / Team Member to join our dedicated staff community. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a unique and rewarding environment supporting children and young people with neurological motor impairments and a range of special educational needs.
Although our school is located in a beautiful rural setting, we recognise this can make commuting more challenging. We are exploring the option of a staff minibus pick-up/drop-off from Crawley and/or Horsham, which we hope may support applicants for whom travel is a concern (details to be confirmed).
About You
About The Role
Why Join Ingfield Manor School?
A Unique Setting
Based within our own idyllic grounds, with woodland learning spaces, a high-spec sensory room and a swimming pool, our environment is designed to inspire curiosity, confidence and independence.
A Strong, Caring Community
Ofsted recognised that we continue to provide a GOOD quality of education, with staff who care deeply and understand our learners exceptionally well. Relationships here are warm, trusting and nurturing.
Training & Professional Growth
You'll receive a solid training package, including specialist knowledge in Conductive Education, communication approaches, and SEN strategies. Whether you're experienced or just starting out, you will be supported to flourish.
A Job With Purpose
Every day, you will support students in learning, personal development and independence — and go home knowing your work genuinely matters.
Your Role
As a Teaching Assistant / Team Member, you will:
* Support students throughout all parts of their day, including learning sessions, personal care and mealtimes.
* Help create a stimulating learning environment following the principles of Conductive Education.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and colleagues as part of a transdisciplinary team.
* Assist with planning, record-keeping and the creation of individual student goals.
* Promote safety, wellbeing and safeguarding at all times.
* Provide consistent, compassionate, high-quality care.
This role involves physical interaction, facilitation and movement of equipment, so confidence in working in a hands-on environment is essential.
What We're Looking For
You will be:
* Empathetic, supportive and committed to promoting independence.
* Able to communicate clearly, work as part of a team and use your initiative confidently.
* Adaptable, reliable, and motivated with a positive approach to young people.
* Willing to fully participate in all aspects of school life.
Experience with young people or individuals with disabilities is helpful but not essential — the right values and attitude matter most.
What We Offer
* A welcoming, collaborative team and a strong sense of community.
* Opportunities to grow, progress and specialise.
* Access to Salutem Extras, including:
o Free online GP services for you and your family
o Free employee assistance programme (counselling, financial & legal support)
* Strong leadership support and a culture rooted in our values: Supportive, Ambitious, Loyal, Unique, Transparent, Engaging and Meaningful.
* Free parking and rural surroundings just 10 minutes from Horsham. A public bus stop is a 10-minute walk away.
* Potential staff minibus pick-up options currently under consideration (Crawley/Horsham).
