Overview
We are looking for an Access Support Worker to join our team to ensure our workshops and projects are inclusive, welcoming, accessible and empowering.
Dates; 30th Sept - 19th Dec, 2 days per week. Hours: Must be available Tuesday 4.45-8.45 PM, but other hours can be worked flexibly.

Responsibilities
* Assist members to fill out membership forms, over the phone or in person and welcome new members into workshops.
* Attend workshop sessions and be the first point of contact to respond to their support needs.
* Communicate workshop times and dates and other opportunities with members by writing and sending Mailchimp campaigns, emails and text messages as required.
* Take attendance records at each session and update the database with relevant data about members.
* Source refreshments and manage travel expenses for members in workshop sessions and rehearsals. Manage petty cash and keep an accurate record of payments and receipts to be reimbursed.
* Work with members to identify their access needs, and co-develop and deliver strategies to support these needs.
* Provide group and 1-2-1 support to assist people in attending workshops.
* Support safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults attending workshops by following the safeguarding procedures and suggesting improvements where necessary.
* Support members to access online workshops through technical assistance if needed.
* Liaise with referring agencies and potential new members about their access needs.
* Participate in feedback and evaluation sessions with members and staff teams.
* Support the delivery of Many Minds social events and trips.
* Be a positive role model for Many Minds members.
Person Specification
* Experience of working in a mental health support role and understanding needs of people who identify with experiences of mental ill-health.
* Enthusiasm and alignment with Many Minds’ ethos.
* Person-centered approach; treat everyone as an individual and avoid assumptions about needs.
* Patient and calm under pressure; personable and empathetic.
* Tech savvy with knowledge of Microsoft packages, Mailchimp campaigns and databases.
* Experience communicating with outside agencies.
* Some experience of working in arts/performance contexts.
* Willingness to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends in line with Many Minds activities.
* Awareness of safeguarding policies and procedures.
