VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a major company in Northern Ireland with the Recruitment of a Category Manager to join a growing and dynamic company based in Belfast.
Join a market-leading organisation in Belfast as a Category Manager, driving procurement excellence across multiple product and service categories. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute professional to lead sourcing strategy, optimise supplier performance, and deliver real value.
What You'll Do
* Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives and sustainability goals.
* Lead end-to-end sourcing and tendering processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
* Build and manage supplier relationships to maximise performance and mitigate risk.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings, innovation, and process improvement.
* Use procurement tools (e.g. Nav, Qliksense) for data-driven decision making.
* Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and corporate governance standards.
What You'll Bring
* Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or similar.
* 4+ years' experience in procurement or category management.
* Proven negotiation, supplier management, and cost-optimisation skills.
* Strong analytical mindset with experience using procurement or data tools.
* CIPS qualification (or working towards) is highly desirable.
