Overview
Murphy is recruiting for a Senior Construction Manager to work with the Energy Team on the SSE ASTI Framework. Responsibilities
* Overall management of project teams during the construction and installation phase of the project.
* Co-ordination of constructability input during solutions identification and development phase.
* Allocation of construction staff to projects based on experience, skills and knowledge.
* Liaises with the Project Management to ensure the construction resource pool is appropriately sized with the right skill mix for the workload.
* Overall management of construction resources including Labour, Plant and Materials.
* Ensure that all construction and installation activities comply with Health and Safety Legislation.
* Ensure that duties of the Principal Contractor are discharged in accordance with the CDM Regulations.
* Ensure that all temporary and permanent construction and installation activities comply with quality procedures.
* Interface with other functional leaders to facilitate successful project development from solution stage through construction, installation, commissioning, and handover to the client.
What’s required / Qualifications
* Experience in delivering Major Civils projects.
* Experience in a Senior Managerial role.
* HNC / HND or NVQ Level 5 (or Degree).
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to develop close working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
* A true leader with a passion for people development, a can-do attitude and a flair for innovation.
