A well-established and growing refurbishment contractor, delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors in London, is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team. With a strong pipeline of work and a commitment to best practice, they pride themselves on maintaining high safety standards across all sites
The Role
This is a hands-on, site-focused position, working across multiple refurbishment projects in London. You will be responsible for driving health & safety standards, ensuring compliance, and promoting a proactive safety culture on-site.
This is not a desk-based role — you will spend the majority of your time out on projects, engaging directly with site teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee health & safety across multiple refurbishment s
* Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
* Ensure compliance with current HSE legislation and company policies
* Provide guidance and support to site teams and subcontractors
* Investigate incidents and implement improvements where required
* Deliver toolbox talks and safety training
* Work closely with project managers to embed a strong safety culture
About You
* Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within the refurbishment sector
* Exposure to projects across multiple sectors (e.g. commercial, residential, education, health
* care)Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation
* NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) preferred
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Proactive, visible, and confident in site environments
* Full UK driving licence (or ability to travel regularly across London)
