Job Description
We're currently seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team on an exciting next-generation aviation programme, supporting the integration of hydrogen fuel cell powertrains into future aircraft systems.
You will be joining a cutting-edge programme focused on the development of hydrogen-electric propulsion systems for next-generation aircraft. The aim is to support the aviation industry's transition toward net-zero emissions by replacing conventional fuel systems with hydrogen fuel cell technology.
Key Responsibilties:
* Develop and standardise Low Voltage Electrical Systems design practices.
* Lead the design and integration of new EWIS systems, including High Voltage and Hydrogen Fuel Supply systems.
* Assess and modify existing aircraft electrical systems for hydrogen fuel cell compatibility.
* Design electrical systems using Siemens NX, Capital Systems, and Teamcenter.
* Provide hands-on electrical support for test assets and participate in testing and verification activities.
* Deliver installation and modification solutions across aircraft platforms.
* Conduct analysis, testing, and troubleshooting using diagnostic tools to ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Participate in safety assessments aligned with ARP4754B and ARP4761.
* Author detailed System and Equipment Description Reports and relevant validation documentation.
* Carry out inspections and audits to ensure design and process conformity.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
* Experience in aerospace electrical systems, EWIS, and installation.
* Strong knowledge of CAD tools including NX and Capital Systems.
* Familiarity with safety-critical environments and regulatory frameworks (ARP4754B, ARP4761).
* Comfortable working with high voltage systems and emerging technologies such as hydrogen propulsion.
