I’m working with a growing tech team in central Cardiff that’s looking for a QA Test Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. They operate a hybrid working model, usually coming into the office twice a week.You’ll be joining a close-knit team of 12, including 6 developers and 2 QA engineers. These include a digital ledger system that manages tax-efficient investments, a bond investment platform for both individual and high-net-worth clients, and a fully in-house document generation system used to produce tax letters and other correspondence.In this role, you'll work closely with developers in an Agile environment to ensure appropriate test coverage, with a focus on automation where it adds real value. They use Playwright and TypeScript for frontend test automation and C# for backend work. They're also beginning to explore how AI tools can support testing and streamline QA processes, so there’s room to innovate.They’re looking for someone who has an analytical mindset, a good mindset of risk based testing, enjoys solving problems, and is always looking for ways to improve how things are done. You should be confident identifying gaps in quality and suggesting improvements to testing processes where required. Ideally, you’ll be a mid-level or senior QA with some experience in automation and be comfortable extending frameworks with little handholdinh. Salary is up to £50,000 depending on experience.
