Commissioning Engineer

What will you be doing?
Carrying out site acceptance testing and commissioning in line with approved documentation
Supporting and delivering factory acceptance testing
Supervising installation activities on client sites
Producing and managing commissioning files and documentation
Marking up drawings and schematics where changes are identified
Deploying and verifying configuration files to PLCs, RTUs, SCADA systems and network devices
Carrying out fault finding on electrical and electronic systems
Managing LOTO procedures and ensuring safe systems of work
Where you'll be doing it
You'll be joining a well-established engineering business delivering automation and control system projects across energy and other highly regulated sectors. The team works on projects ranging from system modifications through to full new-build installations, both from their Stone office and at client sites across the UK.
What you'll need
Qualification or strong experience in Electrical Engineering
Experience of test and commissioning activities
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
Experience fault finding on electrical and electronic systems
Understanding of communication networks and protocols (fibre, copper, Ethernet, serial)
Knowledge of electrical safety and LOTO procedures
Experience working with substations, secondary systems or SCADA (desirable)
BS7671 18th Edition and C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
