Position: Buyer Reports to: Head of Sales and Marketing Location: Based and working from our Head Office, 74 Scarva Road, Banbridge, BT32 3QD. Hours:Full time/Permanent, working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm (40 hours per week) This is an exciting opportunity to join Northern Irelands largest Independent Pharmacy chain with 55 stores throughout Northern Ireland and develop your pharmacy career within procurement and pharmacy business related projects. Duties: Procurement across all sectors. Develop and maximise sales potential of products in store and online. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and other third partyorganisations. Negotiation of trading terms. Responsible for innovation and new ideas. Identify any areas of risk. Communicate and liaise with Internal Departments, Marketing and other Management teams. Work within a team of experienced Buyers Ensure administration and purchase records are accurate and maintained. Be involved with pharmacy business related projects This position could entail some travelling and meetings outside normal working hours when required. Other duties as required. Essential Requirements: Qualified Registered Pharmacist with PSNI One years post qualification experience Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate excellentnegotiating skills. Proficient on Microsoft office packages and IT purchasing packages. Ability to work independently and in a team. Ability to take ownership and accountability for results. Flexible attitude to work. Valid Driving licence. Eligibility to work in UK. Desirable Requirements Previous buying experience within FMCG sector. Demonstrate previous buying within the health, beauty and pharmacy sector Minimum of 3 years previous buying experience. Qualified Pharmacist with Community Pharmacy experience. Knowledge of purchasing tools designed for buying. Category Management experience.
