The Role As Assistant Accountant, you will support the Company Accountant across a wide range of duties, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations while contributing to accurate and insightful reporting for senior management. This is a varied and hands-on role that offers exposure to transactional processing, payroll support, VAT returns, month-end activity, forecast preparation, and the development of financial controls. Its well suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy, close-knit team and is confident taking ownership of tasks. Key Responsibilities Manage daily transactional finance tasks Support the production of monthly management accounts with detailed commentary and variance analysis Assist with KPI reporting and financial dashboards Support the preparation of statutory accounts Assist in producing financial forecasts, budgets, and cashflow projections Carry out cost analysis and support activity reporting Support payroll processes as required Contribute to ongoing systems development and staff training within the finance function The Individual We are seeking a motivated, organised, and detail-orientated individual who is eager to progress within a finance role. You will be confident working with numbers, comfortable handling sensitive information, and able to build positive working relationships in a professional environment.
