Derby
Derbyshire County Council
Assistant
Posted: 17 February
Offer description

Closing date: 08 March 2026

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Knowledge & Intelligence team within public health, responsible for improving the health of the local population and reducing inequalities.

We are looking for applicants who have an eye for detail and a passion for data analysis. Communication will be key to success in this role as the post holder will be required to work across a complex public health, healthcare and social care system that will require them to work with a large number of organisations serving the people of Derbyshire.

The role will primarily be focussed on administering the Adult Social Care Survey and the Survey of Adult Carers in England, but there will be scope for involvement in other projects.

As part of this role, you will be contributing to turning data into meaningful insight that will be used to help inform public health decisions. This would be an ideal role for someone who has achieved or is willing to undertake a level 4 data analyst apprenticeship. This level is nationally recognised to be approximately equivalent to an HNC (level 4) or foundation degree.

If you have a passion for public health and wish to support our vision and ambition in Derbyshire, we would like to hear from you.

Applicants are strongly advised to use the criteria in the person profile as sub-headings in their application to make it clear how they meet each of the selection criteria. Please also see the job profile for competencies and general overview of the role.
