About the Role
We have a vacancy to lead the Audit and Assurance Service, which includes the internal audit and counter fraud functions. The Head of Audit and Assurance role includes responsibilities as the head of internal audit and also responsibility for the Council’s counter fraud team.
Responsibilities

* Serve as head of internal audit and responsibility for the Council’s counter fraud team.
Qualifications
* Experience of working at a senior level in internal audit within a local authority or other large organisation.
* Significant experience in internal audit, with a CCAB or CMIIA qualification, or an equivalent professional qualification which includes training on the practice of internal audit.
